Horse Riding Journal

I’ve been talking about journals and there importance for years. I’ve kept and still keep a riding journal. It helps me understand how far I’ve come and helps me keep track of dates and generally keeps me organized.

After many years of keeping my own journal, I’ve “put my money where my mouth is“, and designed and published a HORSE RIDING JOURNAL to help you keep your riding on track as well.
I ordered some proof copies (seen here at right) and it looks wonderful. You can order your own journal right here.

Keeping a riding journal is one of the simplest yet most powerful tools a rider can use to improve. Whether you’re schooling at home, taking lessons, or preparing for a competition, writing down what you worked on and how it felt helps you see patterns, measure progress, and stay motivated.

When we ride, so much happens in the moment. Where else can you see and remember:

  • how our horse responded,
  • what exercises worked,
  • what we’d like to improve.

But those details fade quickly. A riding journal gives you a place to record:

  • your thoughts,
  • breakthroughs, and
  • lessons learned,

And also expenses. Although sometimes we’d rather not know how much we’re spending!

Over time, you’ll begin to see just how far you’ve come, and you’ll ride with more purpose and clarity.

The Horse Riding Journal I’ve designed is built from years of coaching and horse training experience. It’s beautifully organized and practical — with pages for daily rides, lesson notes, expenses, veterinary and farrier visits, and goal tracking. It helps you focus on what’s working, not just what went wrong. That simple shift in mindset leads to more confidence, empathy, and enjoyment with your horse.

It’s the perfect companion for riders who want to deepen their partnership with their horse and take ownership of their progress. Whether you’re returning to riding after a break, training for an event, or simply want to stay more consistent, this journal will help you get there.

You can order your copy today on Amazon. Type “Horse Riding Journal: Because keeping track of your riding matters” in the Amazon.com search bar and start building the habit that will transform your riding journey. Your future self, and your horse, will thank you.
